Pallet Recycling

Our recycling operation ensures that no pallet component goes to waste. Reusable boards become new pallets. Everything else becomes mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Zero landfill, guaranteed.

Schedule Pallet Recycling

The Recycling Process

01

Collection

We pick up pallets from your facility or accept drop-offs at our yard. Any quantity, any condition. Our trucks run daily routes across Tucson and Southern Arizona.

02

Dismantling

Pallets are carefully dismantled using specialized band saws and pry equipment. Nails are extracted and recycled as scrap metal. Every component is separated.

03

Sorting

Usable boards are sorted by size, species, and condition. Good lumber goes back into pallet production or repair stock. Damaged lumber is diverted to chipping.

04

Repurposing

Non-structural wood is chipped into mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Metal fasteners go to scrap recycling. Nothing goes to the landfill — ever.

Volume Capabilities

Our Tucson facility is built for scale. Whether you have a handful of pallets or thousands, we have the equipment and crew to process them efficiently.

Our operation runs Monday through Saturday with the ability to add shifts for surge volumes. We maintain a buffer capacity of approximately 30% above our average daily load, so seasonal spikes from warehouses clearing inventory or construction projects winding down are handled without delays. If you anticipate a large one-time load (500+ pallets), give us 48 hours notice so we can allocate truck and yard space.

Recycling vs. Disposal

Many businesses still throw pallets in the dumpster. Here is why recycling with us is better in every measurable way.

Byproducts of Recycling

Landscape Mulch

Chipped pallet wood makes excellent mulch for landscaping, playgrounds, and erosion control. We produce both natural and color-dyed mulch varieties. Available for bulk purchase — ideal for landscaping companies, HOAs, and municipalities.

Animal Bedding

Clean wood shavings from pallet processing are used as animal bedding for equestrian facilities, ranches, and agricultural operations throughout Southern Arizona. Our bedding is kiln-dried and free of contaminants.

Biomass Fuel

Wood waste that cannot be used for mulch or bedding is converted to biomass fuel at approved facilities, generating renewable energy. This closes the loop on our zero-waste promise and displaces fossil fuel consumption.

Environmental Reporting

We provide detailed documentation to support your sustainability initiatives, ESG disclosures, and regulatory compliance.

Certificate of Recycling

Official documentation verifying the quantity and weight of pallets recycled through our facility. Accepted by auditors and regulators for waste diversion reporting.

Waste Diversion Report

Monthly or quarterly reports showing total pallets processed, weight diverted from landfill, and the breakdown of how materials were repurposed (boards, mulch, biomass, metal).

Carbon Offset Data

We calculate the estimated CO2 savings from recycling your pallets versus landfill disposal, including offsets from displacing virgin lumber production. Useful for Scope 3 emissions reporting.

Chain of Custody Tracking

For businesses that need to trace materials from receipt through final disposition, we maintain batch records with dates, quantities, and processing outcomes.

Annual Sustainability Summary

A year-end summary suitable for inclusion in annual reports, sustainability disclosures, or B Corp certification applications. Includes total impact metrics and trend analysis.

Custom Reporting

If your company has specific reporting requirements or formats, we work with your sustainability team to deliver data in the format you need. We are flexible and experienced.

Industries Using Our Recycling

Businesses across Tucson and Southern Arizona trust us to handle their pallet recycling responsibly.

Warehousing & Distribution

High-volume pallet turnover with mixed condition pallets. We handle scheduled weekly pickups to keep loading docks clear and provide recycling certificates for sustainability audits.

Manufacturing

Inbound raw material pallets that cannot be reused in production. We remove them on a recurring schedule and recover the maximum lumber value from every pallet.

Retail & Grocery

Stores and DCs accumulate pallets rapidly. Our recycling program integrates with backhaul logistics so pallets are picked up when deliveries are made.

Construction

Job sites generate large volumes of one-time-use pallets from material deliveries. We offer on-call and project-based recycling for contractors and builders.

Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals

Strict chain-of-custody requirements for waste tracking. We provide documented recycling with full traceability from pickup to processing.

Government & Military

Davis-Monthan AFB and other Tucson-area government facilities use our recycling services. We meet federal waste diversion mandates and provide required documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'zero landfill' actually mean?

It means that 100% of the material from every pallet we process is reused or repurposed. Usable boards go back into pallets. Damaged wood becomes mulch, bedding, or biomass fuel. Metal fasteners are recycled as scrap. Nothing is sent to a landfill — ever.

Is there a cost for pallet recycling pickup?

In most cases, no. For businesses in Tucson metro, pickup is free for loads of 50 or more pallets. Smaller quantities or extended areas may have a nominal fee. Pallets with resale value can qualify for buyback payments.

Can I drop off pallets at your facility?

Yes. Our yard is open Monday through Saturday for drop-offs. No appointment is needed under 100 pallets; for larger loads please call ahead so we can stage dock space.

How do I get a certificate of recycling?

Recurring clients receive certificates automatically. For one-time jobs, request a certificate when scheduling; we email it within 48 hours after processing.

Do you recycle pallets that have been chemically treated?

We recycle heat-treated (HT) pallets. Pallets marked MB or contaminated with hazardous chemicals need special handling—contact us for guidance.

Need a Recycling Certificate?

We provide certificates of recycling for businesses that need to document their waste diversion for sustainability reporting, audits, or compliance.
