What We Buy

Standard Sizes

48x40, 42x42, 48x48, and all common GMA sizes. These have the highest buyback value because demand is strong and consistent.

Odd Sizes

We accept non-standard dimensions too. Pricing varies based on lumber recovery potential and current market demand for the specific size.

All Grades

Grade A through D, even damaged pallets. We price each grade fairly based on resale or recycling value. Nothing is too far gone.

High Volume

Generating 100+ pallets per week? We set up a recurring pickup schedule at your facility with priority pricing.

Pricing Factors

Our buyback prices are transparent and based on four primary factors. Here is a detailed breakdown so you know exactly what drives the value of your pallets.

Pallet Size

Standard 48x40 GMA pallets command the highest prices because they are the most widely used and easiest to resell. Common sizes like 42x42 and 48x48 are also in demand. Non-standard dimensions are priced based on the lumber value we can recover.

48x40 (GMA Standard)Highest value
42x42, 48x48High value
36x36, 48x36Moderate value
Non-standard / customVaries

Pallet Grade

We use a standard A-through-D grading system. Grade A pallets are like-new and fetch the best price. Grade B pallets show light wear but are fully functional. Grade C pallets need minor repair. Grade D pallets are for recycling only.

Grade A — Like new, no repairsTop dollar
Grade B — Light use, fully functionalStrong price
Grade C — Needs minor repairFair price
Grade D — Recycling onlyRecycling value

Quantity

Volume matters. Larger quantities reduce our per-pallet logistics cost, and we pass that savings on to you. We have no minimum — we will buy a single pallet — but our best per-unit pricing kicks in at higher volumes.

Condition & Material

Beyond grading, specific conditions affect pricing. Pallets free of contaminants (chemicals, paint, food residue) are worth more. Hardwood pallets typically fetch a premium over softwood because of their durability and resale demand.

What Affects Pallet Value

Understanding these factors will help you maximize the return on your surplus pallets.

Structural Integrity

Pallets with all boards intact, no splits, and tight fasteners are worth the most. Even one broken stringer can move a pallet from Grade A to Grade C. Before we arrive, separate your pallets by condition if possible — it speeds up grading and may improve your average price.

Nail Condition

Protruding, rusted, or missing nails reduce value. Pallets with clean, flush nail heads grade higher. If you use pneumatic nailers in your operation, ring-shank or spiral nails hold better and keep pallets in Grade A condition longer.

Moisture & Mold

Pallets stored outdoors in wet conditions may develop mold or excessive moisture content. While we still buy them, dry pallets in good condition fetch a significantly higher price. Store your surplus pallets under cover when possible.

Markings & Stamps

Heat-treated pallets with ISPM-15 stamps can be worth more because they are resellable for export use. If your pallets carry an HT stamp, let us know — it may increase your buyback price.

Market Timing

Lumber and pallet prices fluctuate with market conditions. Prices tend to be higher in spring and fall when demand peaks. If you have flexibility on timing, we can advise you on the best window to sell.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly will I get paid after pickup?

Payment is issued on the day of pickup. Checks are handed on-site; ACH arrives in 1-2 business days; store credit posts immediately.

Is there a minimum number of pallets you will buy?

No minimum. We buy from 1 pallet to full truckloads. Best per-unit pricing starts at 50+ pallets because logistics cost per pallet drops.

Do I need to sort my pallets before pickup?

Sorting is optional. Pre-sorted pallets speed up grading and can improve average pricing, but our crew will sort on-site at no extra cost.

What if I have pallets that are too damaged to resell?

We still buy them for recycling value. Lumber becomes repair stock, mulch, or biomass fuel. You are paid a recycling-grade rate instead of resale.

Can I sell pallets from multiple locations?

Yes. We serve multi-site businesses across Tucson and Southern Arizona. Pricing can reflect combined volume, with separate pickup schedules per site.
